Caroline Eva Rechichar, 94, of Monessen, died Monday November 28, 2016 in Southport, North Carolina. She was born in Monessen on November 24, 1922, the daughter of the late David and Yola (Dalfonso) Cocciolone. Eva grew up in Monessen, and was a 1940 graduate of Monessen High School. Following High school, she attended the University of Pittsburgh where she received a Bachelor Degree in Business Teaching. Upon graduation Eva taught school utilizing her talents. Her teaching abilities included educating children at Monessen High School and Charleroi High School. She also taught as a substitute business teacher at Douglas School of Business in Monessen during the summers. She considered her biggest accomplishment to be able to teach for 30 years. She is survived by her son Thomas D. Rechichar and wife Marsha of Southport, NC, four grandsons, Thomas D. Rechichar II, Patrick and Briggs Rechichar and Taylor Powers, a sister, Ann Burdock and husband Ed of Monessen, a brother-in-law Bert Rechichar and a sister-in-law Helen Estok, both of Rostraver Twp., and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Michael Rechichar, to whom she was married for 63 years, son Robert “Bobby” Rechichar, and by two brothers, David and Frank Cocciolone. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Saturday beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen.
