Frank J. Ciccarelli , 80, of Belle Vernon, died Monday January 9, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Monessen, on May 13, 1936, the son of the late Quirino and Josephine (Altomare) Ciccarelli. Frank was a 1954 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Twp. He was one of the founding members of the Speers Boat Club and an avid snow skier and bocce player. He served with the U.S. Army's 28th Infantry during peacetime. Frank was a construction electrician having worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel at both the Monessen and Allenport Plants until 1988. He then worked for Sharon Steel and Manmarc Corp. Frank, who was inseparable from his twin brother John, was a loving husband, brother, and uncle, who enjoy being around his family and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews during their annual trip to Stone Harbor, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Catherine "Kay" (DeRosa) Ciccarelli, his sister Margaret "Marge" (John) Talarico, his twin brother John (Joan) Ciccarelli, a sister-in-law Germaine Sickels, two brothers-in-law, Alex (Joyce) DeRosa and Tom (Carol) DeRosa, and by numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great, nieces and nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosetta Ciccarelli, and two brothers-in-law, Frank DeRosa and Harold Sickles. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Friday, beginning with a 9:15 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Church of St. Anne, 1870 Rostraver Rd. Belle Vernon. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital (www.stjude.org) 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
