Angeline D. DiMascio, 92, of Monessen, died Saturday May 20, 2017 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born in Monessen on December 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosa (DiMatteo) Scirotto. Mrs. DiMascio was a life long resident of Monessen, a 1942 graduate of Monessen High School, and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She had worked at the former Monessen Catholic School as a cook in the cafeteria, and later at the former Valley Independent newspaper. Mrs. DiMascio enjoyed using the Monessen Public Library and was a proud member since she was 8 years old. She is survived by a daughter, Diane (Frederic) Wright of East Lansdowne, PA, a daughter-in-law, Deborah (Jackson) DiMascio of Monessen, four grandsons, John Cataldo (Anna) Wright, Richard A. (Krisha) DiMascio, David D. DiMascio, Joseph W. DiMascio, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cataldo "Cal" DiMascio, a son, Richard N. DiMascio, two brothers, Samuel and James Scirotto, and by three sisters, Ann Zugaro, Mary DeLillo, and Frances Cardinale. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, time of the Blessing Service with Fr.
