Lee A. Doman, 90, of Monessen, went to his heavenly home on Sunday April 16, 2017. He was born on September 9, 1926 in Romney, WV, the son of the late Marvy and Ione (McKee) Doman. Lee was a 1945 graduate of Monessen High School and was a veteran of WW II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corp. from 1944 to 1947 in Germany. He was a 76 year member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen having served on the Administrative Board and as Financial Secretary. Lee was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge 638 and was a past Master. He belonged to the Pittsburgh Syria Shriners and was a president of Caravan # 19. Lee was an active member of the Monessen Lions Club for 43 years, serving in numerous capacities and was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a 70 year member of Community First Federal Credit Union where he served on the Board of Directors and held the position of Chairman for 13 years. Lee was a member of the Air Force Association, where he served as Chaplin. After 30 years of service he retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he worked as a supervisor of production accounting. He is survived by a son, Alan Doman and wife Carol of Bentleyville, two daughters, Annette Kon and husband Michael of Longwood, FL, Carole Peters and husband Rev. Kenneth of Elizabeth Twp.; nine grandchildren, Amanda Lucchino and husband Steven, Christopher Doman and wife Kala, James Doman, Benjamin Kon and wife Claudia, Elizabeth Holmes and husband Jon, Katherine Echavarria and husband Anthony, Rebecca Kon and Nick Steele, Tiffany Peters and fiance' Matt Hanne, Shawn Peters; four great grandchildren, Katrina and Aubrey Lucchino, Natalie and Andrew Holmes, Dylan Kon, brother Paul Doman of Arcadia, FL, sister Jane Bennati and husband John of Monessen, sister-in-law Sue Doman of Charleroi, brother-in-law Henry Barron of Canonsburg, and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty A. (Singel) Doman, his second wife Elaine M. (Keller) Doman, a sister Ruth Barron, and a brother Earl Doman. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Peters and Rev. Conrad Auel officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church of Monessen, 400 Schoonmaker Ave. Monessen, PA 15062, or Shriners Hospital 2900 N. Rocky Point Tampa, FL 33607. The following services will be held Thursday evening in the funeral home: Masonic services at 7:00 pm, Monessen Lions Club at 7:30 pm.
