Rose Weiss, 91, of Roscomon Twp, Michigan, formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.She was born in Monessen on January 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Ignazio Buffa and Catherine Atria Buffa. Mrs. Weiss grew up in Monessen and later moved to the Detroit area in 1943.She is survived by a her four children, Thomas Richard Weiss, Kathy Lynady, Harold Weiss, Pat Weiss, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister Ann Maisano of Monessen, and her nieces and nephews, the Maisano children.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Weiss in 1996.Friends will be received in the Heeney-Sunquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Rd. Farmington, MI 48336 (www.heeney-sunquist.com) on Saturday from 9 to 11 am, time of the service.
