Elsie D. (Iacovino Young) Lewitsky

Elsie D. Lewitsky, 100, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born on October 29, 1922 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Caterino) Iacovino Young.

She was beloved by many and will be missed dearly.

Surviving family members include her children: Susan M. Folendore, Maryanne Plump, Janet M. Cieply, Nicholas J. Lewitsky; her grandchildren: Amy Jo, Kasey, Brandon, Taylor, Lauren, Katy, Christopher and Audra; her great-grandchildren: Cypress Anne, Jordan, Keira, Thomas, Frank, Lucienne, Norah, Nico, Easton, Chase and Wesley.

Her brother: Michael Young; very special women: Mary Theresa Greer, Virginia Dudas and many other loving family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nick Lewitsky.

Honoring Elsie's wishes to keep her service simple, her family requests that both friends and family gather for a Blessing service on Thursday, June 29, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am at Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, with Rev. Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/donate.
