Alice Marie Frolo, 76, of Monessen, went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 12 2019, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on April 5, 1943 in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Dorothy (Leavor) Ellin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Donald E. Frolo, who passed away in 2013, and by a brother Charles Ellin Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald (Diana) Frolo of Rostraver Twp., Jeffrey (Dayna) Frolo of Rostraver Twp., Mark (Candice Carney) Frolo of Delmont, her former daughter-in-law, Tiffany Frolo of Monessen; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Andrew) Spate, Meghan Frolo, Brianna (Adam) Cole, Derek Frolo, Caitlyn, Cameron, and Jaxson Frolo. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life as she truly loved and cherished them. She is also survived by a sister, Dolly Cieply of Charleroi; two sisters-in-law, Debi (Jim) Felix of Pittsburgh, and Anna Marie Wassall of Warwick, RI; and her loving nieces and nephews, John (Dori) Cieply, Marcy (Rob) Lazzari, David (Shauna) Cieply, Joyce (Jeff) Stevens, Charles (Lisa) Ellin, Cindy Williams, Linda (Kendrick) Lora, Vickie Ellin, Michael (Kelly) Ellin, Glen (Lisa) Ellin, and by her lifelong friend, Ginny Monaghan. Alice was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a graduate of Monessen High School Class of 1961, and a graduate of Robert Morris School of Business in 1962. She had worked for various legal firms and Westmoreland Engineering prior to retiring from California University of Pennsylvania where she was employed as an administrative assistant and recruiting coordinator from 1988 to 2007. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, where she served as Eucharistic Minister and was active with the Epiphany Ladies and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Alice also was a volunteer with the Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc., a member of the former Monessen Junior Womens Club, having held several offices including President, as well as a member of the local Red Hats Society. Alice loved to travel and enjoyed going on trips with her girlfriends, Antonietta, Peggy, Jeannie, and Barb. She also enjoyed getting together once a year with her girlfriends from high school, and once a month with her Cal U friends. Family and friends were very important to her. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Thursday beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum, Monessen. The Epiphany Ladies and Catholic Daughters of the America's will conduct a prayer service in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 pm. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com
