Ann (Maranich) Spadafore

November 19, 1915 — December 14, 2014

Ann Spadafore, 99, of Monessen, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Victoria House III. She was born in Palmerton, PA on November 19, 1915, the daughter of the late John Maranich and Ann Turko Maranich. Mrs. Spadafore was a resident of Monessen all her adult life and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was a former member of St. Cajetan Rosary Altar Society. Mrs. Spadafore enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She was an avid card player and played for over 60 years with her friends in the Wednesday Night card club. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Moussiaux of Monessen, Shirley (Ron) Novakovich of Elizabeth Twp., Jean (Jim) Matson of Greensburg, a son, Michael (Diane) Spadafore of Monessen, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a special niece, Alice Maranich Reid of Cumming, GA, and by several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. "Spud" Spadafore, daughter-in-law Donna (Bellone) Spadafore, two brothers, Charles and John Maranich, and by two sisters Mary Zadnik and Helen Ivill. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum, Belle Vernon. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
