Anthony D. "Buff" Baldini, 91, of Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Hallsworth House . He was born in Donora on October 4, 1923, the son of the late Dominic and Maria Miglori Baldini. After growing up in Donora, Buff resided in Monessen most of his adult life. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post 1190. He was retired from U.S. Steel Corporation, having worked at their plants in Donora, Duquesne, and Ambridge. He was a veteran of WW II , having served in the U.S. Army's 163rd Engineer Combat Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lola E. (Ingani) Baldini, two sons, Mark (Jacinta) Baldini of Carroll Twp., Christopher (Adrienne Anthony) Baldini of Bridgeville, four grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Baldini, Kevin (Adrienne) Baldini, Joseph Baldini, and Kaitlyn Baldini, two sisters, Louise (Robert) Fernandez of Austin, TX, Geraldine Ellenberger of Jolliet, IL, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Jean Baldini. Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Mon. Valley Memorial Park, Donora. The VFW Post 1190 will conduct services on Friday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
