Anthony "Tony" A. Crisi

Anthony A. "Tony" Crisi, 79, of Monessen, died Monday, April 20, 2015 in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon. He was born in Monessen on January 4, 1936, the son of the late Romeo and Angelina Orsilli Crisi. Tony was a lifelong resident of Monessen and retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, having worked in the boiler house. He owned and operated the former Crisi Park Lanes, Tony's Pizza, and Tony's Lounge in Monessen. Tony also operated Laurel Lanes bowling alley in Uniontown. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 954, member and Past President of the Monessen Lions Club, former member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Monessen Elks #773, and enjoyed being with friends on Tuesday nights at the Speers Boat Club. Tony loved basketball and football and was an avid poker player. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, and vacationing together in Sea Isle City, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Clara Fero Crisi, daughter Celine (Dave) Meglen of Yardley, PA, son, Anthony "TC" Crisi of Monessen, three grandsons, Jeremy, Joseph, and John Meglen, two sisters, Marlene (Bob) Wheeler of Harrisburg, Laverne Martin of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Frank "Frenchy" Crisi. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Monessen. The following services will be held on Wednesday evening in the funeral home: Monessen Lions Club at 6:00 pm, and Knights of Columbus at 7:00 pm.
