Augustine "Gus" Aguilar

Augustine "Gus" Aguilar, 87, of Monessen, died on March 13, 2026, at UPMC Washington Hospital. He was born on May 11, 1938, to the late Agustin and Margaret (Repa) Aguilar. Gus retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a letter carrier in California Sate. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church and the National Rifle Association. Gus was a handyman and knew how to do many things, if he didn't know how to do something he picked up a book and learned how to do it. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rita Ann (Lastoka) Aguilar; brother, Xavier (Barbara) Aguilar of Donora; sister-in-law, Karen Aguliar and also a special fiend and helper Chris Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Reynoldo Aguilar. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. And Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, PA 15062. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday March 19th at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen, beginning at 12 Noon.
