Bruce D. Malone, 56, of Rostraver Twp., formerly of Monessen, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a short illness.He was born in N. Charleroi on April 21, 1956, the son of the late Harry E. Malone and Loretta Walters Malone. Bruce grew up in Monessen, was a 1974 graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of the First Christian Church in Monessen. Bruce was a Black Belt in Karate, and loved to spend time gardening.Bruce had worked at the former Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, and currently was employed at Monongahela Valley Hospital in the housekeeping department.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Demo) Malone, a sister, Colleen Rogers of Catlettsburg, KY, two sisters-in-law, Nickolena (Jeffrey) Martin of Charleroi, W. Lee Vilchek of Perryopolis, two brothers-in-law, Michael Demo of Tennessee and Donald Demo of Kalamazoo, MI, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Susan Walters, and paternal grandparents, Harry and Helen Malone.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750), on Thursday Sept. 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:00 am in the First Christian Church, 115 Sixth St. Monessen, with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating. Everyone is to meet at the church.
