Carmella L. Valente, 95, formerly of Monessen, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center.She was born in Monessen on October 5, 1916, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Rosa) Valente. Carmella lived in Monessen most all her life and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Prior to retiring, she worked for many years at the former Johnston the Florist, Italian Hall, and Rita's Fruit Market, all in Monessen.She is survived by her son, Joseph E. "Lumpy" Lombardo of Dunlevy, a daughter-in-law, RoseAnn Lombardo-Rotheram of Charleroi, a grandson, Joseph R. "J.R." Lombardo of Monessen, a great grandson, Ian J. Lombardo of Star Junction, a sister, Jennie J. Valente, brother and sister-in-law, Dominick S.(Marie) Valente, all of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a sister Louise Valente.Carmella lived a very fulfilling life and loved caring for all her loved ones, especially her sister Jennie, her son Joseph E., and grandson Joseph R. Her successes and triumphs will always and forever live on through her family.Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Fr.
