Celestine J. "Chilly" Fiorill, 89, of Monessen, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in his home, which is the same home he was born in on August 10, 1923. Chilly was the son of the late Joseph N. Fiorill and Maria N. Catrino Fiorill.He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 954, 4th Degree Bishop Phelan Assembly 911, life member of both the Thomas McKee Post 28 American Legion, and Allison-Lescanac Post 1190 V.F.W.. Chilly was a former member of St. Leonard's Roman Catholic Church, where he served on the church committee and was an active member of the Legion of Mary. He was a auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary at Epiphany Church. He owned and operated Commercial Printing Company in Monessen for over 50 years, from 1941 until 1993.He was a veteran of WW II, having served with the U.S. Army in Central Europe and Rhineland with Co. B of the 303rd Engineering Battalion.Chilly is survived by a sister, Veronica A. Manderino of North Hills, CA, and by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; John A., Edward J., Anthony B., Michael R., and Albert G. Fiorill, and by three sisters, Lena Hall, Mary Camille Frich, and Mary Jo Bludis.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2013, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.The following services will be held on Friday evening in the funeral home: American Legion Post 28 and V.F.W. Post 1190 at 6:30 pm, Knights of Columbus Council 954 at 7:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen.Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
