Consetta K. (Savarino) Magatz, 82, of Monessen, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at her home.She was born in Monessen on August 27, 1929, the daughter of the late Marian Savarino, who came to the United States from Sicily, and Catherine (Gernock) Savarino. Mrs. Magatz was a life long resident of Monessen and a 1947 graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church and St. Mary's Ladies Guild. Years ago, she volunteered at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Connie retired from the California Branch of Pittsburgh National Bank, and later worked at the Belle Vernon Wal-Mart as an associate. Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoy playing cards and loved animals.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mike Magatz, a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Carolyn Magatz of Harrisburg, a daughter Rita Ann Magatz-Koike of Sarasota, FL, a grandson, Noah Koike, brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dee Savarino of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Maiolini.Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, beginning with a 10:30 am Panachida in the funeral home, followed by an 11:00 am Divine Liturgy in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. A Panachida service will be held on Monday at 2:30 pm in the funeral home.
