Delvin A. Miller, 62, of Monessen, went home to the Lord on Friday August 7, 2020 at Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 30, 1957 in N. Charleroi, the son of the late Henry and Jennie (Dillard) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his brother Henry Wesley Miller. Delvin started dating his childhood sweetheart 49 years ago and on July 13, 2020, Delvin and Marsha Miller celebrated 35 years of wedded bliss. Delvin graduated from Monessen High School in 1976 where he was a stand out 4 sport all state athlete. He went on to become a 4 year starter on the football team at the University of Kansas. He received his bachelor of science degree in psychology from the university in 1981. Delvin was a member of Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ in Monessen. Delvin had worked for AGAPE for many years and recently worked for the City of Monessen School District. He served as an assistant football coach for the Greyhounds and also was an assistant girls basketball coach under Tuffy Corley. He is survived by his wife, Marsha J. (Howell) Miller, two sons, Ryan (Jessica) Miller and ShelDon Miller, all of St. Paul, MN; daughter, Dellyn Miller of Monessen; two sisters, Jessie (Bishop Edwin C.) Bass of St. Louis, MO, Valerie Hardison of Monessen; a aunt Frances James of Detroit, MI; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends will be received on Wednesday August 12, 2020 from 9 am to 11 am in Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ, 644 Reed Ave. Monessen. Everyone attending the viewing and funeral service will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am with Elder Jack Howell officiating, and Bishop Edwin C. Bass delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. & Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen.
