Dolores L. Destefano, 90, of Monessen, died Friday, July 31, 2015 in Greenery Specialty Care, Canonsburg.
She was born August 22, 1924 in Monessen, a daughter of the late John Gagatko.
Dolores was a 1942 graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen and the former St. Leonard's R.C. Church. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and dedication to her children.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Destefano of Carroll, OH; daughter, Rebecca Destefano of St. Joseph, MI; granddaughter, Susan Slezak of Blairsville; and great-grandchildren, Bobby and Maria Slezak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Doc" Destefano; brothers, Eugene, Donald and Elmer Gagatko; and sisters, Lillian Basko, Alice Zawoyski and Donna Gagatko.
A Funeral Service and Interment was held on Monday, August 3, 2015 in Mon Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Crookston, officiating.
