Edith Ida Alexander, 95, formerly of Monessen, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.She was born in Monessen on September 16, 1913, the daughter of the late Domenick and Mary Arabia Coccari. She grew up in Monessen and was a member of the former St. Cajetan R. C. Church.She is survived by two brothers, James Coccari of Sun City, CA, Robert Coccari of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews, including David Coccari who cared for Edith for 10 years.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Alexander, four brothers, Joseph, Louis, Edward, and Ernest P. Coccari, and by a sister Lena Venneri..Friends will be received on Friday Jan. 30, 2009 from 9:00 am to10:00 am in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).
