Edward J. Bialousz, 89, of Washington, formerly of Monessen, died, Friday, May 9, 2014 in The Donnell House, Washington.

He was born July 5, 1924 in Monessen, a son of the late John and the late Josephine Suchta Bialousz .

Edward was a retired purchasing agent for Fesco Plastics in McKees Rocks. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church in Monessen and the American Legion Post #28 Monessen. He also supported the Pittsburgh Chapter of The Kosciuszko Foundation. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Wojnar and Eleanore Snyder.

He is survived by a brother, Robert T. Bialousz of Elmira, NY; brother-in-law, John A. Snyder of Valencia, PA; 8 nieces and nephews, Joeine Osiol, Richard Wojnar, Tim Snyder, Gwenn Karr, Keith Snyder, Kathy Snyder, Geraldine Wagner, Rebecca Husak; as well as13 great nieces and nephews and a great great nephew.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen (724-684-8750) where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church with Fr. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant.

Interment, with Military honors, will follow in the St. Hyacinth's Cemetery, Monessen.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Washington Health System Hospice Care, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.

American Legion Post #28 Monessen will conduct services in the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m.
