Edwin T. Latchem Sr., 72, of Washington Twp., died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Allegheny General Hospital.He was born in N. Charleroi on January 10, 1936, the son of the late Willard and Harriet McMurray Latchem. Ed grew up in Charleroi, and was a 1953 graduate of Charleroi High School. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. Mr. Latchem was P.E. Civil Engineer, having retired from PennDot in May of 2007. He had worked in the same capacity for numerous construction companies over the years. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Washington Twp. Planning Commission since 2001, and an alumni of Theta Chi Fraternity at Penn State University. Ed served his country from 1957 to 1959 as a member of the U.S. Army.He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy (Zimmaro) Latchem, three sons, Edwin T. Latchem Jr. of Greensburg, Stephen Latchem of Austin, TX, Mark Krusec of Silver Springs, MD, his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and James Bischoff of Newark, DE, a brother, Floyd Latchem of Uniontown, four grandchildren, Derek, Maxwell, Isabella, and Alexander, and by numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Monday Dec. 1, 2008 at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Rev.
