Emma A. (Stankovics) (Ruby) Matuschek, 93, of Monessen, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 in Hallsworth House III.She was born in Sutersville on April 2, 1916, the daughter of the late Michael and Julie Bibel Stankovics.Years ago Emma lived in West Mifflin with her late first husband George Ruby, and worked at Paul's Supermarket. She moved to Monessen in 1969 when she married her late second husband Stephen Matuschek. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and the Epiphany Ladies, Court 776 of the Catholic Daughters of the America's, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, the former Slovak Home Ladies Auxiliary, the former Most Holy Name of Jesus R. C. Church, and had bowled with the Tuesday Night Bowlers for many years. At one time, her and her late husband Steve were active volunteers with the Monessen Meals on Wheels Program She is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews, all of which she loved dearly and for whom she offered prayers. Emma will always be remembered by her family and friends for the cards, pictures, and special messages she would send them. Emma always said, "God Bless You".In addition to her parents and late husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Stephen, Michael and John Stankovics, and by two sisters, Elizabeth Safo and Mary McCune.Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday beginning with a9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband George Ruby.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen, PA 15062. The Epiphany Ladies and Court 776 of the Catholic Daughters of the America's will conduct a prayer service on Tuesday at 7:00pm in the funeral home.Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
