Evelyn (Dodaro) Kowell, 77, of Monessen, died peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Monessen on May 22, 1936, the daughter of the late John Dodaro and Teresa Altemare Dodaro. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1954 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Kowell of Monessen, and by a sister, Jean Stark of Monessen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Kowell Jr., two children, Terri Ann and Shaun Jude Kowell, a brother, John "Pat" Dodaro, and by a brother-in-law Robert Stark..
Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12 noon. Services will be held on Tuesday beginning with
12:00 pm Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, with Fr. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum, Belle Vernon.
