Florence A. Sagona, 69, of Monessen, died Monday, January 22, 2007 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center.She was born in Washington Twp., on February 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Leroy and Rose Drugan Emerick.She grew up in Fairhope and was a graduate of Marion High School. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church in Monessen.She is survived by two daughters, Sharon and Shelia Sagona, with whom she made her home, a son and daughter-in-law, Russell A. and Kelly Jo Gonchoff Sagona, of Rostraver Twp., and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell L. Sagona, two grandchildren Ciarra Nicole and C.C. Sagona, and by her brother, Leroy Emerick.There will be no public viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday Jan. 25, 2007, at 10:00 AM in the Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the charity of ones choice.
