Frank R. DeLuca, 94, of Pittsburgh, died Friday Jan. 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1926 in Monessen, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Orrico) DeLuca. Frank was a 1944 graduate of Monessen High School and a 1950 graduate of Universal Trade School. He was a WW II veteran having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in Okinawa. Frank was a member of Epiphany of Lord Church, American Legion Post 28, life member of Sons of Italy, and a life member of V.F.W. Post 47 of Uniontown. Frank was the Business Manager for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 302 and later for Local 354. From 1986 to 1996 he was the International Representative for United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Monongahela Industrial Development, Mid-Mon Valley Labor-Management Committee, Board of Trustees California University of Pennsylvania, having served as Chairman, Chairman of Local 354 and Mechanical Contractors of Charleroi Joint Apprentice Committee, member of President Nixon's Committee on Mental Retardation (1971-1974) Chairman, National Joint Plumbing Apprenticeship Training Committee of the United States and Canada. Frank served on the Executive Board for Local 302 and as Vice President of Pennsylvania AFL-CIO. He is survived by his sister, Ida Dalfonso of Monessen, daughter-in-law, Lisa DeLuca and grandchildren Aidan and Olivia of Spring, TX; dear friend and loving companion, Gloria Cadwallader and her daughter Marla Meyer (Steve) Papernick and daughters Zoe and Allie of Pittsburgh; niece Sara Dziak and nephew Joseph (Donna) Dalfonso, both of Monessen, niece Sherri DeLuca Misovich, and nephews Ernie (Rebecca) DeLuca and Jerry (Annette) DeLuca; great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janet (Toretti) DeLuca, his son Aaron J. DeLuca, a sister Angeline DeLuca, and a brother Ernie DeLuca. A private viewing was held in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, followed by a Blessing Service with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment followed in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen, PA 15062.
