Frank Gigliotti, 98, of Monessen, died Tuesday January 17, 2017 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Nicastro Calabria, Italy on April 16, 1918, the son of the late Luigi and Maria (Perri) Gigliotti. Frank came to Monessen in 1937 and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, their Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 954, Italian- American Heritage Society, Italian Society of Mutual Aid, a former member of Epiphany Bowling League, and was active at the Monessen Senior Center. He retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Mary (Talarico) Gigliotti, three sons; Frank "Chick" (Kathy) Gigliotti of Carroll Twp., Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti of Rostraver Twp., Ronald Gigliotti and partner Jake Sung of Pittsburgh, a brother; Louis Gigliotti, two grandsons; Keith (Erin) Gigliotti and Marc (Lisa) Gigliotti, a great grandson; Brody Gigliotti, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son James Gigliotti, and by three brothers; Antonio, Fred, and Angelo Gigliotti. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Thursday, January 19, 2017, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Friday Jan. 20, 2017, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or the charity of ones choice.
