Fulvia A. Chitester, 91, formerly of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born in Monessen on July 27, 1923, the daughter of the late Dominick Maiolini and Anna Liberati Maiolini. Mrs. Chitester lived in Monessen until just recently moving to Philippi, WV. She was a 1942 graduate of Monessen High School, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and a member of the former St. Cajetan Rosary Altar Society, having served as Treasurer. She was a member and Past President of the St. Cajetan Bowling League, a member and Past President of the Monessen High School Band Parents Association, and served as a Campfire Leader. . Known as Nonna by her family and friends, she was loved by many for her openness, generosity, and quest for knowledge. Renown for her boundless energy and unfailing sense of humor, she was a favorite playmate for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will miss you Nonna. She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law; David D. (Kathleen) Chitester of Tampa, FL, Bradford N. (Kathy) Chitester of Phillipi, WV, Brian J. (Barbara) Chitester of Jupiter, FL, Timothy R. (Marian) Chitester of Haverford, PA, a brother, Joseph Maiolini of Monessen, a sister Vilia Hornack of Upper St. Clair, eight grandchildren, Jon, James, Evan, Christian, Timothy, Benjamin, Lauren, and Clare, four great grandchildren, Slade, Savannah, Alya, and Kaley, a special niece and great niece, Rochelle and Angela Vegso, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl N. Chitester, and a sister, Joanna Romansky, and by a brother, Frank Maiolini. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen for a Funeral Mass.
