Gemma D'Alfonso, 65, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in N. Charleroi on June 28, 1949, the daughter of the late Julius and Josephine Zimmaro D'Alfonso. She was a life long resident of the Mon Valley and a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Gemma enjoyed doing volunteer work and was active along with her friends at Riverside Horizons.
She is survived by two sisters, Lucille D'Alfonso of Monessen and Gina Marie D'Alfonso of Harrisburg. She is also survived by one aunt and numerous cousins and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen.
Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
