Gloria A. Vasunda

Gloria A. Alvarez Vasunda, 81, of Carroll Township passed away on March 19th , 2026, at her home. She was born on April 20, 1944, in Monessen, PA. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Adela (Perez) Alvarez. Gloria was a graduate of Monessen High School. She went on to work for Westinghouse in Large PA, and moved on to Westinghouse in Jacksonville, Florida. She then went to work for Toyota Southeast as the executive secretary to the president. Upon retirement, she moved back to care for her mother and sister. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She was a supporter of many charities. She is survived by her brother, Antonio "Tony" (Joyce) Alvarez of Rostraver Twp. Sister-in-law, Lena (Herman) Alvarez of Monessen, and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph "Speed" Alvarez, and Herman Alvarez, and two sisters Marie (Alvarez) Mull and Adela E. Alvarez. Friends and family will be received at the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. And Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, PA 15062, on Sunday, March 22nd, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Services will begin on Monday, March 23, with a blessing service at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd, Monessen PA 15062. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum.
