Helene (Susko) Perozzi

Helene (Susko) Perozzi, 87, of Monessen, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg following a short illness. She was born in Donora on September 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Kimak Susko. Helene was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and Epiphany Ladies, Court 776 Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Red Hat Club of Monongahela, and she also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Store in Monessen and Monongahela Valley Hospital. She had worked as a presser at the former Brookvale Clothing Factory and as a waitress at Rego's Restaurant in Charleroi. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Loretta Perozzi of Severn, MD, James and Kathi Perozzi of Rostraver Twp., a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and David Gilotty of Fallowfield Twp., four grandchildren, Jamie (Kim) Perozzi, Christopher (Vanessa) Perozzi, Kristin (Kenny) Stockman, Jonathan (Julie) Perozzi, four great grandchildren, Dominic, Caden, Leah, and Tyler, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delio "Day Day" Perozzi, a brother Harry Susko, and by four sisters, Nellie Karpiak, Ann Joseph, Katie Marasco, and Mary Carter. Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery, Monessen. The Epiphany Ladies and Catholic Daughters of the Americas will conduct a prayer service for Helene Perozzi on Sunday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home.  Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com
