Ida Alesiani Barch, 89, formerly of Monessen and Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 2, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Old Hickory, Tennessee. Ida was born on January 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Peter and Teresa Alesiani. She was a 1943 graduate of Monessen High School. She was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She is survived by two daughters, Jo (Michael) Mihalik of Old Hickory, TN, Lucille (Charles) Miller of Palm Harbor, FL, a son, Fred (Sandra) Barch of Boynton Beach, FL, nine grandchildren, Erin Mihalik of Bloomington, Indiana, Elizabeth (Zachary) Hartje of Charleston, SC, James Mihalik of Chattanooga, TN, Andrew Mihalik of Nashville, TN, Lauren, Alex, and Faith Miller of Palm Harbor, FL, Julia and Collin Barch of Boynton Beach, FL, a great grandson, Landon Joseph Hartje of Charleston, SC, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Barch, a son James Barch, and by three brothers, Herman, Fred, and Louis Alesiani. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 14, 2014 at 12 noon in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 618 Knox Ave. Monessen. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
