Irma Vivio, 97, of Monessen, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Hallsworth House, Monessen. She was born in Crucible, PA on June 23, 1918, the daughter of the late Paul Kollar and Helen Sloboda Kollar. She was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of Epiphany Ladies and the former St. Cajetan Rosary Altar Society. Years ago she worked at the former G.C. Murphy in Charleroi, and the former Eisenberg's Department Store in Monessen. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Anita (Grano) Vivio of Youngwood, a daughter, Kathy Vivio of Monessen, her two grandsons, Salvatore and Anthony Vivio, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo "Midge" Vivio, her grandparents who raised her in N. Charleroi, Catherine and Joseph Sloboda, a brother, Lenhart Kollar, and a step sister, Audrey Smith. Friends will be received on Sunday Nov. 1st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015, beginning with 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. The Epiphany Ladies will gather for a Bereavment Service on Sunday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
