Jane Leone, 91, of Monessen, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Monongahela Valley Hospital.She was born April 24, 1920 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Laszewski) Kovalitsky.Jane worked as an assistant manager at G.C. Murphy Co. for 6 years and was also assistant manager at W.T. Grant for 15 years. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monessen and the Epiphany Ladies. She was also an avid baker and she started the pierogie making at Epiphany Church where they still use her pierogie recipe to this day.She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Harold "Red" Warfield of Monessen and Janet and Russell "Skip" Hoade of Laurinburg, NC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leone on June 19, 2011; 2 brothers, Anthony and Frank Kovalitsky; and 2 sisters, Ann Arcuri and Bertha Latta.Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue,Monessen, 724-684-8750 where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, August 12 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. in the Epiphany of Our Lord R.C.
