John J. Molinatto, 84, of Monessen, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.He was born in Stockdale on August 5, 1926, the son of the late Angelo and Freda (Venneri) Molinatto. John grew up in Stockdale and was graduate of Charleroi High School. He was a veteran of WW II, having served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. John was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and Knights of Columbus Council 954, both of Monessen. He retired from the General Motors Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin, where he was kindly referred to as "Uncle John". John's favorite past time was tending bar at numerous places throughout the Mon Valley. He and his wife of 53 years, Agnes (Nyalko) Molinatto, loved to travel with all their friends.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Nutt of Monessen, grandson, Anthony Argirakis and friend Kara Bilger of South Park, a sister Geraldine Molinatto of Belle Vernon, a uncle, William Venneri of Carroll Twp., and by nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Dolly Ogrodnik.Friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 pm, and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, beginning with a 12 noon Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.The Knights of Columbus Council 954 will conduct a prayer service on Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
