John E. Shuma, 63, of Monessen, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 in his residence. He was born in Detroit, MI on August 18, 1947, the son of the late John and Geraldine (Behanna) Shuma. John has been a resident of Monessen most of his life and had served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, having worked at its Monessen, Allenport, and Stubenville plants. He is survived by his two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa and Robert Kinik of Belle Vernon and Dayna Shuma of Monessen.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750), on Wednesday from 6 to 7 pm, followed by a Memorial Service with Pastor John Arnold, Finleyville Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.
