Joseph Carl Coccari, 89, of Monessen, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at his residence.He was born in Monessen on October 31, 1921, the son of the late Rosario and Philomenna (Margieri) Coccari. Mr. Coccari was a life long resident of Monessen and a graduate of Monessen High School.He was a member of Gate Keeper Community Church and Turner Hall Gym. He was retired from the American Chain and Cable, Pages Plant in Monessen. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed family and playing his guitar.He is survived a son, Randall "Randy" Coccari of Monessen, a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Michael Zamiska of Algonquie, IL, a brother Rudolph Coccari, five grandchildren, Kim and Michael Egidi of Monessen, Jodi Coccari of Monessen, Christopher Coccari and fiancé Heidi Povlish of West Newton, Michael Zamiska of Wonderlake, IL, Steven Zamiske of Glenellyn, IL, ten great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jane (Usher) Coccari, daughter-in-law Sherry Lee (Williams) Coccari, grandson Jared Coccari, a sister Marie Heckel, a brother John Coccari, brothers-in-law John Usher and Daniel Evangelist, and a sister-in-law Frances Usher.Friends will be received on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011, at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Donald Anders officiating.
