Kenneth L. DeAngelis

6/22/1950 to 6/15/2026

At the age of 75, Ken DeAngelis of Monessen passed away on Monday June 15, 2026 after a brief illness. Ken retired from United States Steel Corporation, ClairtonWorks January, 2013. He worked in the Maintenance Department as a boilermaker, layout man, fabricator and welder. In his earlier years he also worked for the Celco Company and Babcock Wilcox in Donora, PA. Ken was a 1968 graduate of Monessen High School and then completed a two year technical program at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Ken's past times included riding his motorcycle, fishing and shooting. Later in life he could be seen walking the Monessen City Park walking track with a group of friends daily. A loved one recently described "Ken as a simple man, he doesn't have a ton to say, he likes what he likes and lives by his own set of rules; he is selfless and the perfect model of consistency. Most importantly, he immensely loves his family and expresses that love through his constant presence, unwavering support and thoughtfulness." Our hearts are broken with the loss of our brother and uncle. Ken was a very special person with a big heart and endless generosity. We will miss him dearly.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents Columbus DeAngelis (March, 1976) and Mildred Sudor DeAngelis (December, 2020). Surviving Ken are his sister, Donna DeAngelis-Sciacca, brother in law, Victor Sciacca of Monessen, niece, Lauren Sciacca (Michael Van Stan) of Reston VA, and nephew, Christian Sciacca (Molly Parker) of Pittsburgh, PA.

Ken's family would like to thank the nurses of OSTPA Hospice and the 6th Floor staff at Penn Highlands Hospital. We are very appreciative for the care and compassion he received in his final weeks of his life by these two groups.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. And Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, PA 15062
