Marian (Csuchran) Petty, 84, formerly of Monessen, died Monday, March 2, 2009 in West Malden Manor, Charleroi..She was born in Webster on March 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Leheney Csuchran. Years ago, she worked at Kanes Restaurant in Donora, and later at the former U.S. Steel works in Donora during WWII. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and the former Most Holy Name of Jesus R. C. Church, both in Monessen. She enjoyed bowling, watching soap opera's and the Pittsburgh Pirates on television, and most of all loved to go dancing.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Curt A. Gaudio of Rostraver Twp., Patricia and David E. Yankosky of Monessen, two grandsons, Curt Joseph (C.J.) Gaudio of Whitehall, Jeffrey Gaudio of Monessen, a sister, Margaret Yoki of Fayette City, two sisters-in-law, Irene Petty Hlatky formerly of Monessen, and Barbara Petty Kaminsky of Monessen, numerous nieces and nephews, and by her many friends at West Malden Manor, especially her dear friend Fred.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Petty in 1966, an infant daughter, Eva, three brothers, George, Michael, and Alec Csuchran, and by two sisters, Ann Guist and Eileen Sabo.Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Thursday March 5, 2009, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen.
