Marie R. Morigi, 90, of Monessen, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Nevah Cove, Fallowfield Twp.She was born in Monessen on January 29, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Mary Sabo. Marie was a life long resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church and the former St. Leonard Church. Mrs. Morigi worked as sales manager at Lila's Fabric Shop in Belle Vernon for many years. Marie's love was sewing and knitting, having made numerous quilts over the years.She is survived by two sons, John N. Morigi of Monessen, Alan Morigi of Watertown, Conn., two grandchildren, Jon and Tami Morigi of Farmington, Jodi and Larry Kubitza of Daisytown, five great grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew and Carley Kubitza, Mati and Dominic Morigi, and by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John N. Morigi, and by three sisters, Irene DiGiacomo, Helen McDowell, and Margaret Dean.Friends will be received on Monday (Dec. 26th) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen,(724-684-8750).Services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, beginning with a 9:30am blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.
