Mary DeLuca, 102, of Monessen, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc..She was born in Monessen on January 8, 1908, the daughter of the late Carmine and Rose (Trozzo) Orrico.Mrs. DeLuca was a life long resident of Monessen, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and its Epiphany Ladies, a former member and vice president of St. Cajetan Rosary Altar Society, and a former member of the Sons of Italy Regina Lodge, Italian Society of Mutual Aid, American Legion Ladies Auxillary, and the AARP. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ida and Samuel Dalfonso, with whom she made her home, a son, Frank R. DeLuca and Gloria Cadwallader of Pittsburgh, six grandchildren, Sara and Rick Dziak, Joseph A. and Donna Dalfonso, Aaron and Lisa DeLuca, Ernest and Rebecca DeLuca Jr., Jerry Lynn and Annette DeLuca, Sheree and Marty Misovich, eleven great grandchildren, Jessica, Alison, and Jared Dziak, Joseph and Sammy Dalfonso, Aidan and Olivia DeLuca, Adoree DeLuca-Johnson, Steven, Scott and Heather DeLuca, a great great grandson, Brandt DeLuca-Johnson, and by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph DeLuca, a son Ernest DeLuca, a daughter Angeline DeLuca, two daughters-in-law Olga DeLuca and Janet DeLuca, five sisters, Rose DeCaria, Millie Cassano, Virginia Check, Ida Sala, and Susie Trozzo.Friends will be received on Thurs. Aug. 12th from 7 to 9 pm, and on Fri. Aug. 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750). Please note: the viaduct bridge is closed.Services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church Chapel, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monesssen. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.The family suggest memorial contributions to the Epiphany of Our Lord R. C.
