Norma Jean (Johnston) Black, 81, of Fallowfield Twp., died Friday, November 9, 2012 at her residence.She was born in Fayette City on June 13, 1931, the daughter of the late Frank D. and Anna (Sanc) Johnston. She was a 1950 graduate of Monessen High School, and a member of First Christian Church in Monessen. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and the Mon Valley Quilt Club.On February 27, 1960 she married James (Tom) Black and recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Catherine Babich and her husband Jay D., and by a nephew John Andrew Black II.In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan J. and David Sill of League City, TX, two grandsons, Matthew Saunders and Ryan McCarty, both of League City, TX, two brothers and two sisters, two brothers-in-law, William D. (Othella) Black of Seaford, VA, Charles A. (Nancy) Black of New Kensington, two sisters-in-law, Maryjane (Ernie) Black of Ownings Mills, MD, Martha (Casey) Coulter of Belle Vernon, several nieces and nephews, and by her puppy Otis, and her kittens Smokey and Jem.Friends will be received in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 in the First Christian Church, 115 Sixth St. Monessen.
