Phillip Anthony Trozzi

Phillip Anthony Trozzi, 75, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home. He was born in Monessen on February 13, 1940, the son of the late Arthur Trozzi and Florence Revetta Trozzi Stonage. Phil was a 1957 graduate of Monessen High School, worked as a conductor on the Monessen Southwestern Railroad for several years, and retired after working for the Pittsburgh Pirates in public relations and sales. He was as avid softball player having played with numerous teams throughout the area and was a proud member of the winning Pittsburgh Gold, a team in the 65+ North Allegheny Senior Softball League He is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Ann (Nick) Bolias, Vicki (Art) Maione, Dina (Ernest) Henderson, Kristin (Joe) Maione, two stepsons, David (Shelia) Bendinelli, Marco (Michelle D. Brokow) Bendinelli, seven grandchildren, Nychole Whitlock, Justina and Lorenzo Maione, Nicholas and Nathan Bolias, Michael and Luke Beveridge, two great grandchildren, Ava and Dominic, six step grandchildren, Julian, Kerri, Jordan, Ryan, Brittany, and Natalie, two step great grandchildren, Jett and Ria, and by a special friend, Richard "Moogie" Mogart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father John Stonage, and by his wife Mae Trozzi. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Monday March 9, 2015, at 10:00 am in the funeral home, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
