Ralph Nicksich, 66, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his homeHe was born in N. Charleroi on March 27, 1945, the son of Beatrice (Carmella) Nicksich, who survives of Monessen, and the late Ralph Nicksich. Ralph was a life long resident of Monessen, a 1963 graduate of Monessen High School, a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, and had served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Ralph was a collector of many items, particularly antique radios.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosalie (Vizza) Nicksich, his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Kevin Lhota of Monroeville, two brothers-in-law, Frank "Moe" Vizza of Belle Vernon, Joseph Vizza of Monessen, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Vizza of Monessen, and by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces.Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue Monessen, (724-684-8750).Services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
