Rosabell Lombardo Saksun, 88, formerly of Donora, died Friday, September 19, 2014 in Humbert Lane Nursing Home, Washington, PA. She was born in Monessen on October 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Valo Lombardo. Rosabell grew up in Monessen and was a graduate of Monessen High School and lived most of her adult life in Donora. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monessen, the Donora Democratic Committee, Donora Sewing Club, Donora Senior Citizens Center, Washington County Board of Elections, and the Eagles Aerie 2399 and Sokol's in Monessen. Rosabell enjoyed to go dancing, playing cards, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and traveling. She is survived by a son, Leonard M. (Lana Lee) Saksun of Monessen, a daughter, LaVern Marchines of Belle Vernon, two grandchildren, John (Dana) Marchines III of Jefferson Twp., Shane Marchines of Belle Vernon, three great-grandchildren Jaden and Gage Saksun, Nina Marchines, three nephews, Anthony (Johnna) Lombardo of Monessen, , Ronald Lombardo of Monessen, Joseph "Lumpy" Lombardo of Dunlevy, a niece, Vicki Lynn Lombardo of West Palm Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Anthony "Hank" Lombardo and by a sister, Charlotte Lombardo. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 pm in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monessen. Everyone is to meet at church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
