Stephen C. Menzler, 61, of Donora, formerly of Monessen, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home. He was born in North Charleroi on August 9, 1953, the son of the late Stephen J. and Frances McGovern Menzler. Stephen grew up in Monessen and was a 1971 graduate of Monessen High School. He received his bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Clarion University and was a self-employed painting contractor. He was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and numerous social clubs throughout the Mon Valley. Steve was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling and especially looked forward to trips to the beach. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cheryl L. McFeely Menzler, daughter Courtney Menzler and friend Robert Moran of Pittsburgh, a sister, Kathy Menzler of Monessen, two brothers, Terry (Nancy) Menzler of Belle Vernon, Robert Menzler of Donora, nieces and nephews, Tara, Morgan, Robert, Tyler, and Megan, a great niece and great nephews, and by his faithful puppy, Gracie. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church.
