Veronica (Macik) Bellicini

April 16, 1923 — November 21, 2014

Veronica Bellicini, 91, of Monessen, died Friday, November 21, 2014 in V.N.A. Hospice, Butler. She was born in Webster on April 16, 1923, the daughter of the late John Macik and Anna Leheny Macik. Mrs. Bellicini was a 1940 graduate of Rostraver High School and retired as a bookkeeper having worked for John L. Gibson in Monessen, Donora Motor Company, and Davies and Tregembo in Charleroi. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the former Most Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Monessen, and its Christian Mothers. She was an active member of First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Branch 88, having served as auditor. She is survived by a son, David J. (Sandra) Pushkar of Queenstown, MD, a daughter, Ruth Ann Pushkar (Lewis) Panion of Titusville, three grandchildren, Tonya Panion (Richard) Bishop of Aston, PA, Jeremy Jones of Queen Anne, MD, Taylor Jones of Cambridge, MA, two great grandchildren, Catherine and Adam Bishop, a brother, Edward (Donna) Macik of Anaheim, CA, two brothers-in-law, Paul (Betty) Bellicini of Eightyfour, Michael Bellicini of Ellsworth, two sisters-in-law, Daisy Bellicini of Roswell, NM, Mary Bellicini of New Eagle, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph F. Pushkar, her second husband Anthony "Tony" Bellicini, two grandsons, Nathan J. Panion and Andrew D. Pushkar, three brothers; John Matsik, Paul Macik, Michael Mason, seven sisters, infant Ruth Mae, Anna Schwartz, Mary Lastoka, Margaret Vernile, Helen Suhy, Pauline Macik, Norma Jean Latta, and Lillian Macik. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, beginning with a 9:15 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian Church with her pastor, Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
