Clarita Billick, 90, of Monessen, died Saturday February 15, 2020 in Hallsworth House, Monessen. She was born on August 20, 1929 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Himelsbach) Gorman. Clarita was a 1947 graduate of Monessen High School and attended Seton Hill University. She had worked for her father and aunts at the former Gorman's Dry Goods Store in Monessen, and for the Monessen School District as a teachers aide in the Ben Franklin Elementary School. She later worked for Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7 as a classroom assistant in the West Newton Elementary School. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and its Epiphany Ladies, Court 776 Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Friends of the Monessen Public Library, Monessen Retired Teachers, P.S.E.A., the former Monessen AARP, and was a volunteer for the former Monessen Meals on Wheels program. Surviving are her four children, Edward J. (Jacquelyn) Billick of Charlotte, NC, Timothy J. (JoAnn) Billick of Monessen, Carol (Alan) Doman of Bentleyville, Mary Kay (Joseph) Orso of Williamsport; nine grandchildren, Jason "E.J." (Lindsey DeRynck) Billick of Austin, TX, Michelle (Trevor) Healy of Charlotte, NC, Amanda (Steve) Lucchino of Mt. Lebanon, Christopher (Kala) Doman of Cokeburg, James Doman of Canonsburg, Emily Orso of West Chester, PA, Joseph Orso IV of Dallas, TX, Erica L. Billick of Greensburg, Chelsey R. Billick of Brentwood; three great grandchildren, Katrina and Aubrey Lucchino, Dylan Healy; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Billick in 1987, two sisters Mary Margaret Holahan and Catherine Waters, and by three brothers, William, Joseph, and Thomas Gorman. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held on Wednesday beginning with a 9:15 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd. Monessen, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
