Leo Kenneth Glasser, 73, of Monessen, passed away on July 6, 2021 in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Monongahela. He was born on November 22, 1947 in North Charleroi, the son of the late Leo and Edith (Greenlee) Glasser. Leo was catholic by faith. He was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1965. He worked as an Electrician until the close of the Volkswagen plant and later retired from Sensus Technology. While serving in the United States Navy, he became a Golden Shellback. Which means he crossed the Equator at 0 degrees latitude and 0 degrees longitude. Leo was the former fire chief of Monessen Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department #2. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and listening to his oldies. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Linda (Vivio) Glasser; son Luke (Lisa) Glasser of Carroll Township; daughter, Loren (Chad) Carroto of Monessen; two grandsons, Lorenzo and Lazer Glasser; granddaughter, Bella Carroto; a sister Maggie (Mike) Lee of Stockdale; a brother-in-law John (Loren) Vivio; four nephews, Kevin (Marisa) Lee, Shawn Lee, Ben (Leza) Vivio and Daniel (Nerina) Vivio; and niece Dana (Val Smith) Lee. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by a sister, Judy Goodson. Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave Monessen, on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 am, with Father Gerald Mikonis officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery.
