Mary C. Gelli, 96, of Monessen, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Hallsworth House, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 7, 1926 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Matthew and Tekla (Bauka) Turpack. She was a member of Epiphany of our Lord Church and its Epiphany Ladies. She was an active member of the parish having helped with the funeral luncheons, festivals, and all church activities. She was also an advid card player. She worked for 19 years at Hills Department Store in Rostraver Twp.. Surviving are her two sons, James Gelli of Monessen, John (Linda) Gelli of Cheswick, PA; five granddaughters, Michelle (Joseph) Ruiz, Christine Gelli, Lauren (Christopher) Palmieri, Liza (Douglas) Runyan, Karen (Kenn) Shoop; five great-grandchildren; three nieces, Mary Stephanie (Peter) Marella, Norma Solstad, Wendy Lane; Two Nephews, Harry Turpack, Steven Turpack. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Julio "Primo" Gelli; two brothers, Harry and Steve Turpack; niece, Joan Beck Bitonti. Friends will be received on Friday, May 26th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, May 27th, beginning with a blessing service at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 am at the Epiphany of our Lord Church, with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
