Murrysville PA

Robert William George, 75, of Murrysville, PA passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA.  He was born February 22, 1946 to the late Howard and Edith George. Robert was a graduate of Leechburg High School and California University of Pennsylvania where he received his Master’s Degree in Industrial Arts.  In his younger days, he was reported as always being the life of the party, which carried through to a reputation for having a quick wit and magnetic sense of humor. These traits were always appreciated during conversation with family and friends, whom he delighted in bringing happiness.  An avid designer and builder, Bob enjoyed a long career as a woodshop and mechanical design teacher at Plum Boro Junior High School, spending his off-hours drawing and planning out his next architectural dream-project.  He took pride in the long list of cars he had owned, and even more pride in telling the stories he had about each one.  His love of cars also led to a career as a carwash owner/builder for Aqua Jet Carwash Systems.  In addition to spending time with family, he enjoyed trips to the casino and playing poker with his buddies.  Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Suppa), and daughter, Robyn, whom he missed every day. Bob is survived by his brother Ron (Sally) George of Lower Burrell, sister Sue Anne (Richard) DeGrand of Ann Arbor, MI, a son Ryan (Krista) George of Apollo, and two grandsons, Ruxin and Kazden George who affectionately called him “Bub Bub.” The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for their care and thoughtfulness during this very difficult time.  A private memorial service is being handled by Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen.  Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
