Obituary

Robert F. "Bob" Kotch, 87, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1934 in Monessen, the son of the late John Kotch Jr. and Julia (Drabik) Kotch. Bob was a life long resident of Monessen and a 1952 graduate of Monessen High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S Valley Forge. Bob had worked as a construction foreman for Gerald Vitale Inc. and later in maintenance for the Mon Valley Health Center. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, where he served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 22, Charleroi and the Ukrainian Club in Monessen. Bob was a former member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church, Elks 773, Eagles Aerie 2399, and the Slovak Home, all of Monessen. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cynthia E. (Wisyanski) Kotch, a son Robert F. (Melissa) Kotch of Belle Vernon, two daughters, Johanne (Vincent) Tebalt of Peters Twp., Kimberly (Christopher) Duda of Monessen; five grandchildren, Ashlyn Kotch, Sydney and Victoria Duda, Anthony and Alex Stone; three sisters-in-laws, Peggy Kotch, Alice Kotch, and Clemmie Malec; three brothers-in-laws, Vince (Julie) Wisyanski, Warner (Pat) Wisyanski, Greg (Fran) Wisyanski; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Kotch and Leonard A. Kotch Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Monday July 25, 2022 beginning with a 9:30 am Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 PA Blvd. Monessen with Fr. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
